Florida Panhandle Roofing Checklist

Do you own a home, business or commercial property in the Florida Panhandle? Wondering if it may be time for repairs/maintenance or even a replacement? When it comes to our homes, offices and other spaces, keeping them maintained is highly important, especially when it comes to the roof. The roof of your space helps keep everything safe and sound, without it, your belongings, inventory and even employees would be at risk. Today, Timberman Roofing in the Florida Panhandle is discussing various checklist items to look at to determine if it may be time to contact a roofing company near you. Got additional questions? Think you may need roofing repairs or replacement? Don’t hesitate to reach out to Timberman Roofing, we’re always happy to help.

  1. We recommend starting by taking a look at your roof yourself: do you notice any signs of wear-and-tear/damage such as sagging, strange spots, damaged or even missing shingles? If so, it is most likely time to schedule a professional roofing inspection.

  2. Next, we recommend taking a look inside of your home, office or other space. Do you see signs of water damage such as spots or stains? Can you smell mildew or spot any mold? If the answer is yes to any of those, an inspection is recommended right away.

  3. Has your space been a part of a storm recently? In the Florida Panhandle, we can experience some extreme weather conditions. Following any major storm we recommend hiring a roofing company nearby to provide an inspection.

  4. Finally, how old is the roof to your home, business or space? Depending upon when it was installed, most roofs last typically between 10-20 years, with well maintained roofs lasting the longest. If your roof is older than 10+ years, we recommend periodic inspections to determine if any repairs or replacements may be required.

In the event you notice any signs of roof damage/leaks, it is recommended to schedule a roofing inspection as quickly as possible. Neglecting to address even minor roofing problems can quickly turn into a much bigger issue.
